Monaco won the French championship for the first time in 17 years

Monaco won the French first division title for the first time in 17 years before one game at the end of the season, beating the home side, "Saint Etienne" 2-0 without a response on Wednesday evening. Monaco ended Paris Saint-Germain's four-year reign over the title.

Monaco, who raised their lead in the exciting season to 104 goals, needed only a draw, but the title was superbly awarded thanks to the goals of Cillian Mbabey and Valer Germain to raise the score to 92 points, six points behind Paris Saint-Germain.
The team of Portuguese coach "Leonardo Jardim" built his success on the line of attack including promising French "Mbabi" and return to the brilliance of the Colombian "Radmal Falcao" and the hope of Portugal, "Bernardo Silva" and French international "Thomas Limar."
Fabianio, the talented duo, Djibril Sidibe and Benjamin Mendy, added a lot of strength to the front line, with Monaco beating the rest of their rivals, including Paris St Germain. This title puts them in third place with eight titles equally with Nantes in the list of winners of the French championship in the era of professionalism behind Paris St Germain (10) and Olympique Marseille (9).

"Paris Saint-Germain dominated the tournament and it was logical, but we managed to grab the win even once, which is a great achievement, now it's time to celebrate," said Gardim.
"We have achieved our goal and we have succeeded in keeping Paris Saint-Germain and Nice away," said Mbabee, who offers great performances and has made him one of the most promising players in Europe.
Monaco began the showdown and pressed the defense of Saint-Etienne, who played on counter-attacks. The home side's advantage, after a brilliant Falcao pass, made Mbabi his way to scoring his 15th goal.
"Falcao" approached the doubling of the yield with a perfect header seven minutes after the second half. Arnaud Norden forced goalkeeper Daniel Sobacic to a great save immediately after St Etienne showed he would not give up even if there was nothing to play for.
Monaco dominated the match until the end whistle, winning 17 of their 19 home games and scoring 63 goals at home.
"At the beginning of the season we did not believe in our chances, but our confidence is growing as the scoring progresses," said midfielder Nabil Darar, one of four players, as well as Supacic, Jermann and Andrea Raji.
